Sibinacocha - Singrenacocha Trek (6D / 5N)

New altitude trekking in the Vilcanota mountain range is developed in 6 days, we will see the most important mountains, wonderful landscapes in Sibinacocha lagoon, Phinaya older small village (300 hundred years old) moderate trekking to Ccasccara lagoon in from of the magic mountain named Yayamary ( 6040m) also you will see the Ccascara, , Japu punta, Alcachayoc, Pico tres, Ausangate and many other important mountains. the porters will carry your baggage and the camping staff because there is not road for annimals. we will pass for the mountaineering campsites close to the Glacier of Hatunritty or Chumpe. Finally you will be in the Singrenacocha lake another beautiful lake near to Mallma where conclude our anforgettable trek (after the trek you can enjoy one hour in a tipycal hot springs in Pampacancha near to Mallma in the way to Cusco).

ITINERARY

The itinerary is as follows:

DAY 1: Cusco - Phinaya ( 4850m)

The trip begins at 7.a.m. We pick you up in your hotel. In the way we'll arrive to Racchi that is the Temple of Wiracocha the Inka's god, after a short visit we will continue to Sicuani and then to Santa Barbara, a small and ancient town where we'll see typical stone houses and a beautiful river called Salka that came from Sibinacocha lagoon the biggest one in the Vilcanota area, the capacity of water reserve is 150 millions of cubic meters, the water supplies to the Machupicchu Hidroelectric in the dry season by the Vicanota river. In the way you will enjoy the spectacular landscapes Lagoons and snow mountain range. finally we will arrive to Phinaya. this is a small and quiet town on 4800m. where we'll camping. ( 8 hours drive ) Altitude: 3300m – 4950m. (L.D)

DAY 2: Phinaya - Ccasccara Lagoon (5200m)

Today we'll walking 4 hours to Ccasccara lagoon it is a big and fantastic lagoon with different species of birds, ducks, trucha, huallatas and many other species of fauna are in the area, we will see also the beautiful group of snow mountains such us Yayamary, Japu punta, Ccascara, Alcachayoc. our campsite is located near of the farmer's houses. Altitude: 4850m - 5200m (Slope:moderate ).(B.L.D)

DAY 3. Ccascara- Lagoon - Sibinacocha lagoon (4950m)

Following the trekking we will walk six hours to Sibinacocha lagoon, we will walk in the border of this beautiful and big lagoon we will see many species of ducks, birds, vizcachas, huallatas, close to the end of this border will appear the impresive mountain called Jatunritty (means in the quechua languaje the biggest mountain), also we'll see another impresive mountain called Colque Cruz, we will have our campsite there. Altitude: 5200m – 4950m (B.L.D)

DAY 4: Sibinacocha lagoon - Jatunriti pass ( 5300m) - Huayrurorumicocha ( base camp of Jatunriti (4970m)

We'll start at 8.a.m appox. walking up to the Hatunritty pass (chuyanecochas lakes) near the base camp used for the mountain climbers , after the pass we'll continue walking down to Huayrurorumicocha there we will have the campsite, this section of the trek we will have porters to carry the camping staff, tents, food because the route is dangerous for the annimals, walking down we have impresive views of the Colquecruz mountain with 6 summits over 6000m each one ( the proffesional climbers demand this mountain ) also we will see another group of mountains like Callangates and Salkantay ( another one). Altitude: 4950m - 5300m - 4970 (7 hours walking -Slope moderate ) (B.L.D)

DAY 5: Huayrurorumicocha lagoon - Singrenacocha lagoon (4329m)

Along the valley we will see many more beautiful lagoons where we can appreciate the flamencos that are big birds and were inspiration of peruvian flag (red and white colors), many species of ducks, birds, rabbits, agles and sometimes condors. The trekking is too easy and today we'll have horses again to carry the staff. (5 hours walking).Altitude: 4970m - 4320m (B.L.D)

DAY 6: Singrenacocha lagoon - Mallma

Singrenacocha is another big and beautiful blue lagoon that reflects the snow mountains like a big mirror. Our last day we offer the typical andean food called Pachamanca that in the inkas language, quechua, means soilpot, that consists in young alpaca's meat, potatoes and vegetables cooked in a stone oven. After lunch we'll continue to Cusco. We offer the option to visit Pampacancha hot springs and continue to Cusco. Altitude: 4320m - 4200m (Slope:moderate )(B.L)
