Inka Trail to Machupicchu (4D / 3N)

The Inca Trail… is one of the most famous treks in the World. It will be a truly and amazing experience…not only for the ecological diversity and consequent variety of flora and fauna, but rather for the sample of Inca sanctuaries you will find along the route. All the Inca constructions are intact and display the incredible human creativity, our ancestors's legacy. The trek is develop up progressively, passing the highest point (Warmihuañusca - 4200 meters), and continuing on the preserved Inca stone roads until finally arriving to the Sanctuary of Machupicchu.

IMPORTANT: You should reserve this trip six months before your visit.

ITINERARY

The itinerary is as follows:

DAY 1: Cusco (km. 82) - Llulluchapampa

Early in the morning we'll pick you up from your Hotel and transfer by bus to the Inka Town of Ollantaytambo. After a visit to this famous site we will continue by bus to Piscacucho at Km 82 where we meet the porters . From this point we'll start the Inka Trail trek. We'll walk 5 hours to our camp site called Llulluchapampa, in the way we will see the impresive Inca city called Llactapata..continuing in the valley we will arrive to Huayllabamba where we will take a rest, after this point the slope to our campsite is more steep after install our camp site we will enjoy the beautiful sunset with the view of the snow picks of Huayanaes and Veronica mountains.(L.D)

DAY 2: Llulluchapampa - Huarmiwañusca pass - Phuyupatamarka

Today we will continue to the highest pass called Warmihuañusca on 4200m from here we will see the Pacaymayo valley and the forest surrounding the Vilcanota valley, today we will cross the Runcuracay pass on 3900m after that the trail is not very steep arriving to Phuyupatamarca in 5 hours approximately where we'll spend our second nigth (B.L.D)

DAY 3: Phuyupatamarca - Wiñayhuayna

We descend to Wiñaywayna (2591m) a fascinating Inka citadel and a experimental laboratory for Agricultural purposes in Inkan times. (B.L.D)

DAY 4 Wiñayhuayna - Machupichu - Cusco

Early, after a breakfast we will walk to Inti Punku, the Sun Gate, in time for lunch and suddenly we will enjoy for the first time a fantastic view of the “Lost City”: Machupicchu; set in a wonderful landscape that is a magic and nice first impression. ( B. box lunch)
