Huchuy Qosqo Trek (2D / 1N)

Huchuyqosqo, in the native language of the inkas, means small Cusco, because this has similar urbanistic characteristics of Cusco city in the inkas time. From there you should appreciate the beautiful landscapes of the lowe valley and Urubamba and Vilcabamba mountain ranges, among them we'll see the Veronica and Sahuasiray, also we will see the mount Salkantay in the Vilcabamba mountain range.

ITINERARY

The itinerary is as follows:

DAY 1: Cusco - Tambomachay - Quellacocha lake (3700m)

The trek begins in Tambomachay, located 20 minutes away from the center of Cusco. We will have a moderate trek approximately 4 hours until arrive to a small lake called Qellacocha (3700 m), where we will camping. From there you can appreciate some mountains in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Altitude: 3300m – 3400m - 3700m (Slope: moderate / difficult)

DAY 2: Quellacocha lake - Huchuyqosqo (3600m) - Lamay ( 2900m)

The following day we will arrive to Huchuyqosqo, a beautiful inka city where we can see the magic Inka Sacred Valley and the important river called VIlcanota, two more hours walking down we'll arrive to Minasmoqo, mineral springs in Calca, affter lunch we'll return to Cusco.

Altitude: 3700 - 3000m (Slope: downhill).
